Brief
Contemporary architecture in Singapore has not only created social, sustainable and delightful spaces but has adapted to an evolving environment, offering a new kind of tropical urbanism while creating possibilities for the future and adding to national identity. The goal of the book aims to celebrate the revolution and innovation in architecture and what is contemporary and unique to the Singapore landscape and identity.
Solution
The special edition of Contemporaneous Architecture produced in a limited print of 200 copies, was crafted with misaligned chipboard, each copy featuring a unique spray-painted design. The book cover was designed to stand out among other architecture publications on the shelve, as a reflection of what is contemporary and unique in the context of book design. The layout of the architecture sections was done in a continuous sequence following the timeline the structure was built, with images and color blocks connecting the pages throughout the projects, showcasing the revolution and innovation in Singapore over the course of time.
